• What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is the latest innovation from IBSA. The Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company was founded in 1945 and has always had innovation as its philosophy.

For each active ingredient, IBSA researchers have discovered and patented the pharmaceutical form with the highest efficacy and tolerability for patients.

Profhilo is a unique product on the global aesthetics market due to its concentration of 64mg of hyaluronic acid in 2 ml and its thermal stabilization technology of hyaluronic acid without cross-linking proteins (patented by IBSA), this feature giving it a high purity. The product contains thermally stabilized hybrid complexes of hyaluronic acid (HA) made up of high molecular weight HA and low molecular weight HA.

How does Profhilo works?

Profhilo combats the first signs of aging through dermal BIOREMODELLATION and BIOSTIMULATION.

Unlike other products with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid that hydrates or crosslinked protein that volumizes, Profhilo’s unique design achieves:

• Skin hydration and stimulation thanks to low molecular weight HA, giving the skin a compact, luminous, uniform appearance
• Collagen stimulation and neoformation that provides a lifting effect through the dermal support and gives the skin firmness and tone, thanks to high molecular weight HA.

How is Profhilo administered?

The Profhilo injection technique is more special thanks to the unique characteristics of this product.

Profhilo combats skin laxity (the first signs of “sagging face”) through 2 injection sessions at 1-month intervals, performed annually.

Depending on the degree of skin damage/aging, another injection session can be administered after 2 months or the 2-session course can be resumed after 6 months.

There are 5 injection points on each cheek called bio aesthetic points (BAP) in anatomical areas specially chosen to ensure uniform diffusion of the product and to obtain the maximum hydration and lifting effect.

Profhilo can also be injected on the neck with extraordinary results, for a more hydrated, firmer skin, with less visible flexion folds.

Since 0.2 ml is deposited on each injection point, it is possible to feel small bumps in the injected areas for up to 24 hours.

Profhilo can also be injected on the body to combat laxity in the arms, abdomen, knees, with a very good result especially for loose skin resulting from dieting or in bariatric patients.
